Forum problems:

Hi any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Since AVG started doing the virus warning in the mir.exe file ive had some other weird problem, when i open IE and goto rev forum it loads the page but the green progress bar at the bottom just hangs with 1 green block left to complete. Now when i click any link in the forum it goes and loads the page but here comes the major problem. When i click back it goes back but if i click on a link in the forum either before or after clicking back it just does nothing, it doesnt even attempt to search for the page it just stays on the screen im on and i can click every link in the forum and nothing works. What i then have to do is close IE and come back to forum and click the link i wanted and it opens but again with the hang on last green block and again i cant click any links i have to close IE and start again.

Now this only happens with rev forum and no other website or forum just this.
Ive tried clearing cookies,temp files etc etc and also have done a reset in internet options.
Ive also upgraded from IE 6 to 7 and now im on IE 8 and all do the same thing. Ive also switched of the link scanner and webshield in AVG and doesnt help.

PS: while typing this post its been hanging on the last green block and says: (3 items remaining) Downloading picture http://www.mirrevenge.com/forums/web...gin-button.gif...

hmmm you should try downloading Mozilla FireFox and have a try with that one.

if AVG decided to start scanning things through internet explorer - it wont matter which version you use it will still try to do its job.


having Mozilla will let you know if its a IE problem or if its a connection problem to the forum.

No more than the average person as for lag ingame m8.

I have sorted the problem out i think as its working alot better, at the bottom of the page is a style choser it was on ---webber but ive now changed it to default and everything seems fine.

Weird how it was just this forum/website but least now im sorted thx.
