Restarted PC and cant play mir..

as always i close my revenge yesterday, i wasn't have anyproblem but tonight i come to run it again i got around 100 MSGBOX type on it next msg

Access Violation ar Address XXXXXXX in Module 'mir2.exe' . Read of address XXXXXXXX


the XXXXX is problem number its defferent on each msg box

what i need to do please help me

i have the same error as this guy, how do i fix it please?

Un install Mir and Re- install

Check your sound drivers, un-install and update them if possible.

Update all your drivers to your latest versions,

Then try it again.

regardless of weather your system is playing cds/website sounds please update your sound drivers and then try mir again.

im not sure why but in the past where this has happened reinstallling the sound drivers has solve the issue.

(im still waiting for a uber geek to work out why ^.^ but as of yet im not sure give it a go and let us know how you go)

if you are not 100% sure how to update your sound driver send me a pm.

cba to go into details about the sound drivers, but to put it in simple terms (drivers run your system hardware, without drivers your system will think that you do not have the hardware), a game will not load without graphics drivers as the computer cannot recognise the graphics card and will bring up errors trying to display graphics and throw the game into a **** fit, the same goes for sound drivers, the game cannot recognise a sound card without correct sound drivers and will also throw a **** fit at you saying "where is your sound card, i cannot load game without it, i cannot recognise sounds blah blah so bugger off," i will post something more technical when i have time to get into NERD mode.

Im sure it was the mir2.exe that was causing it..
it happened to me when i created a new exe to start mir in "realtime"
(i use a notepad now) :P
