Server setup

Dedicated server now setup, so will transfer the file over during the weekend.

Might have the server up a little earlier :P

Not sure weather to use the same forums and website as mir rev high rate, or make new ebsite and forums.

maybe keeping same one would be an idea until people become more familiar with server? If you do decide on another website i'm sure i cud lend a hand with a few designs if need be, web development is my passion, well it was until it became my job now it's just a pain lol, maybe a website made in flash as it sorta stuff i'm working on.... just an idea.

^.^ i booked of july 1st to make sure i was around for the launch day.

to be honest if your sorted a little early, spend the time getting everything ready for users to download and make sure the client is avaliable BEFORE the server goes live.

its really annoying to see the server starting and being stuck with download issues ^.^

Or you just wanna make sure you have booked the correct day off :P

You should be able to use the same client as HR, except you add an extra server to the server list in your servers.txt notepad in your client lol

that's assuming all updates will be the same on both servers. Say highrate gets a patch but this isnt incorporated into lowrate then this may cause a few problems, also if lowrate got a patch that highrate didn't have, this may also cause problems.

lol i have booked off the right day, lapta said he would launch on the 1st of july no matter what happens. which means if he finished early it would still be launched on the 1st of july.

:P if anything changes it means lapta has launched it on the wrong day

same forums would prob be best, but if a new website is ever wanted id be happy to make something, i have all the tools at work and i can blag to my team leader that it's a side project for a gaming company, not sure if i could make that one slide but i can always try lol, will maybe show lapta some of my work and see if he would be interested.

If your looking for a forum mod, I'm probably on over 5 hours a day, could easily fit the job for you.
