Who is Low Rate aimed at?

Low Rate (LR) - some information about it

- is so named as it is harder to level than the servers that have massive exp boosts

- as a result LR players are generally a much lower level, have lower hp and less stats on their kit. The aim is to make soloing harder and promote group/guild play.

- taos are able to solo most things as always (it just takes longer).

- the server has loads of gems and plenty of orbs to improve kit for those willing to kill mobs/bosses and take a few risks.

- pk'ing is almost non existant as the penalties for pk'ing are harsh. Pkers don't stay on LR as its not intended for them, its intended for mob killing levellers and those who like to build their kit without having it nicked from them

- the server is being set to give you many months of challenging fun rather than somewhere where you can level to 70 in two weeks but still get one hit killed!

- 50 is a high level on LR.

- LR has mostly older players who work and therefore is busiest in the evenings. As most players also have a life outside of mir, they are often only on for fairly short times as they fit it in with other workday and weekend commitments

- if you want a friendly and safe place to play, LR is the place for you.

- LR has the same mobs, drops and skills as higher rate server.

- over 220 items have had their weights and/or levels altered to allow players to use the items at lower levels. The weight problems that taos/wizzies suffer on most server do not happen on LR.

Personally i think PK penaltys should be reduced slightly. I 110% agree that HR is ridiculous for PKing and most PK players rather than kill bosses for items.

On the other hand, I welcome confrontation. At the moment there's no confrontation whatsoever. I think most players are just vigilant not too do anything because of the penalty. If the penalties were lowered slightly, it'd still make you think twice but there's still the option as i know for a fact if i saw a couple of certain individuals around I'd more than likely attack them. At the end of the day, most of my leveling motivation came from being attacked and not being able to do anything about it. Being LR, you've got plenty of time to respond or TT/RT if attacked unlike HR as even at like level 70 you can still get 1 hitted.

Just my two cents, something to think about.

P.S. PKing is a big no no, confrontation is a yes from me. (Although you've got to PK obviously for confrontation, its different than just randomly killing everyone in your path) I hope my post isn't mis-read.

I understand and the penalties are high but if you get the urge you can still pk but it will just take you out of play for a few hours if you do it twice in quick succession

I think the PK rules are fine as they are as penny says the point to this server is to promote group/guild play not pk

don't think other ppl in server wants to PK

Aye, I ve been there myself, sometimes with servers that dont have a long potential life, once you've achieved most things and done the basics, you come to the conclusion that the only thing left to do, is prawn people
