    Default PetRental NPC - new pets structure

    We have installed a slightly modified version of PetRental system used on High Rate. My thanks to Dave who created (all 80 pages) of the script.

    I plan to reduce the range of pets down to a smaller number fpor Low Rate and run them up to level 75 for the Mutant Captain (truly awesome pet). A few tweaks have been done for the lowest level pets already. There are also new ones to try out. Dave has tried to make them relate to levels better than the script thss replaces.

    Once again your thoughts are appreciated on this once you have had the chance to check it out.

    is there any chance of getting a few pets to go along side a tao's deva n shinsu at any chance?

    I was chatting to Obelix about that tonight and frankly I support the idea of pets for all classes. Seems odd that only wizzies get nice pets to aid them. Lone when you read this maybe you can give it some thought and we can chat thru the idea.

    Maybe also consider a event weekend where pets are available to all classes? Might be a useful promotional opportunity for the server even if pets dont become available to all classes.

    I was having a bit of a play on the Med rate testing out the pet script there and it did seem to say that there was the option for taoists/wars to have pets, so i believe we might already have the feature in the npc.

    if we dont i would like to see extra pet for my taoist as much as anyone else so im sure we can work something out

    (the big question is - should they be summonable along side the taoist existing 2 pets or the warriors clone)

    id say not summan it but make sure they can go along side the taos shinsu and deva tbh

    Since this issue is raised up, i'm just taking this opportunity to ask something.

    I just don't understand why wizard can have 5 pets while tao and warr only get 2. I mean what is this based on? Plus the fact that wizard levels the fastest if compared with the other two characters, and they have skills that can kills massive lures instantly. The same cannot be said for the other two characters.

    Once either shin or deva dies, you can not re-summon them.
    The only time you can have both tao pets & foxes together is when you hit a leveling milestone. Try and get foxes from an NPC with pets out it will not let you.

    In the old school days (feels weird saying that) the wizz was the basic class, it was the class that everyone started on to try and get used to the game. The only reason why they were allowed 5 pets was because they had the grueling task of finding the mob wild, then sitting around for it waiting to tame. Nowadays though i see your point, all it takes is a few clicks and the wizzies automatically have 5 pets, so maybe it should be cut down a bit, but the wizz class is still for the people that like to take things nice and easy, they don't have foot to foot combat like the others can do, and literally they can play with one hand, especially when they have pets. Petroni will agree with me on that one, while he used to work he had pets that would go round kicking *hi* out of everything near, and then when he stopped working he pumped it up a little and started power leveling.
