I will update this initial post periodically as anything we agree on becomes firm 'policy'
At the moment the guidelines I am working on are :
1 Server should aim to offer a minimum of one years gameplay for an 'active' player
2 Server is aimed at players who expect to work for what they get, not event handouts
3 Structure of server will aim to provide a life up to level 75 but may be lower (70)
4 Red Moon quest kit is the baseline kit we assume all will work towards
5 Kit is already in game to provide useful items to those under 45 leading to RM kit
6 Kit is starting to drop for those over 45 slightly better than RM kit (new Adamantine)
7 Caves in play include Fox, Ship, PSC but are set to be for lvl 45+ with good base stats
8 Pets are ingame and are available to all classes. Deva/shin issue under discussion
9 Exp levels will be looked at as they tough from 55ish upwards and may be lowered
10 Dave is helping as a developement GM. This thread is to provide framework guidance
11 I assume all players get bored with their initial class of char and will start other class/s
12 Group/Guilds will be the aim. Solo hunting always ok but servers will promote groups
13 Very high stated items will be reduced to conform to a lower rate server *
* this will include some items that have already dropped that may be excessive stats *
14 Low rate will try to do what works for us, not necessarily 'what other servers do'
15 Low Rate needs income and we must promote income or its stops - its that simple *
* Those who contribute will have an advantage
16 The server will promote a low PK environment, pk is acceptable but penalties harsh
These are my initial proposals and are shared as the basis of further discussion but also to guide current work. Despite this, nothing is set in stone and may change
