    Default Group Hunting ideas

    Right ok, I know this server is mostly aimed around group hunting so i'd like to try and gather together a couple of ideas on how to extend hunting time.

    Due to the fact this server has such huge spawn rates and the times between spawns being quite small there is one issue which affects the length of a group hunt. Funnily enough it's not the lack of pots which is the issue; more along the lines of dura cainage lol.
    I know there are a couple of alternatives such as sewing goods and even Storage Orbs to bring additional items but most players won't want to use Sewing goods over special repair. I personally would like to plow through a dungeon without having that ingling feeling about my dura busting half way through. Not all players have the luxury of standing behind a couple of FFing wizzes (this is not a dig) so dura goes go down very very fast especially in places like ZT7th. (Damn SZGs! )

    Anyone got any ideas on how to make hunts longer and reward players for putting the time getting to KRs? Maybe a repair NPC half way through, or even a slave system like there was on HR which would allow you to tele back and forth on any map other than KRs. The con to this system would be that you can only use the feature once in say 4-5 hours to stop camping.

    Its not a great solution to the problem but if we had Dura Orbs dropping alot more people wouldnt be to annoyed about using sowing goods i suppose.

    ill see if i can thing of anything else


    (1 time use Special repair orb seems like a sensible idea - maybe you could buy it from the special repair guy for 1mil - then it would let you open the special repair menu to allow you to repair as many items as possible anywhere in the mir world )

    I'm liking this idea. Also make it level 50+ but not drop from bosses so you've gotta work for it. Another limitation would be to make it non-TMable so you can't benefit from buying them from EP and flogging for more.

    Or maybe make a seperate orb aswell as the above but for 40+ and drop from mobs but only SRs half your dura?

    im not quite sure if we could set its possible to only repair half dura, but im liking the thinking (non tm/tradeable works too imo)

    or maybe make it a repeatable quest reward so it could be open for any level, sometimes noobs get lucky and want to look after their items too

    Taking up Lones idea, you could put a guy in all the major hunting areas (like ZT 7th) a NPC guy which sells special repair orbs which can only be used once, would be easy enough to code.

    On the downside, would it be just once.. as then wouldn't it be abit pointless? It would be a pain in the neck to code but what about making it, say 1mill for one, then once you've bought one for 1mill you have to pay double for another, 2mill, if you've payed 2mill for one, you have to pay 4mill for the next, how does that sound.

    im not sure on the price increases as ull want a few to use on difference items, but a small charge would make it a more valued service and help promote sales and mining and make a market rather than ppl just leaving stuff on floor or giving away
    good idea

    dura orb event would be nice also, events are always fun and dura orbs wont ruin the economy

    Well as lone spoke, i think he ment the orb brings up a box where you can special repair all your items, so thats why i made it such a big price increase.

    And tbh thinking about it now, I don't play the server so i dont know how the money is but maybe, just add 3mill each time, will keep it balanced.

    Because if you have repaired 5times say, you have payed 26mill altogether if its doubled. So if you did do that idea I would say increase by 3mill each time. 1,4,7,10,13 maybe 2 mill, 1,3,5,7,9 <<---- For those of you that cant count :P
