Its that time of the week again. Reboot is currently underway.

There has been a problem with the SQL on the sever, it hasn't restarted after the reboot. Lone is trying to sort it out as we speak

rather than kicking ppl 5-10 mins b4 lol. had exp bar going... not good times lol.

The server needs 10 minutes to save the data if it doesn't save the data the you will suffer a small rewind. No PMs were sent in my direction to say anything about a exp bar being used.

well it looks as though who ever installed the SQL for the low rate installed an evaluation version - and it would appear that evaluation period has expired!

so im currently removing the old copy and reinstalling a copy that should get us up and running again - ill try and track down a full version of it and get that sorted some time over the next week.

Sorry for the delay but i should hopefully have it back up soon.

its the same every week... always try get ppl off soon as pos so server can go live again. i as in x4 exp but oh well its just the way it is and has been for ages.
if u want to make an issue than u shoud point out the stupid time that one of the gms choose as the weekly reboot time lol. late friday afternoon is probs one of the worst possible times for a reboot.
euro used to be 8/9 am on a thursday morning, for a reason lol!!

how dos the funding of the server effect the time of the weekly reboot? round 6ish there were about 25 players online. im sure there are other times in week that gms could do it when less pll are on. ne weekday really

ALL of the LR team (that has access to the files) work, im 99% sure all of them does - the main guy working on server (Lone) works 9-5 I think, has to catch the train each morning and evening - reboot is at 6:30 for a reason - that reason is because Lone is home at that time.

On a paid server you pay for a certain level of service and would expect the reboot to take place at a time when the server was least use ie Thursday mornings as the company that are running the server consist of people that are paid to look after the server. If MR is run FOC where nobody has to pay the GM's and guys who run the server do not get paid for their work apart from donations where they can not guarentee an income then users must accept some inconvenience and a time which suits the GM would be the obvious reboot time.

If we paid for the service then we would have more of a right to state when we felt the best time for the reboot would be...
