    Default A lttile more fun for taos and wars?

    Had a long debate this afternoon which covered the issues of warrior and taoist levelling and the problems they have getting to use their skills on some of the higher level mobs.

    A few suggestions that came up are as follows:

    To aid taos and wars in levelling, the existing expbars could be modified so that each class could have a different bonus and close the levelling gap a bit

    For discussion, say

    - Wizz x2, war x2.6 and tao x2.9 or summut

    - Each bar would be set so that it only worked at the higher rate when hunting solo and it would revert to normal x2 if grouped (or grouping would be prevented) so you dont get an uber player giving a massive boost to a new tao/war using abar

    Also, an existing map could be set aside for tao/warrior only levelling with lots of mobs but with lowered amc by comparison with normal mobs so wars and taos could kill easier or with help of pets that struggle atm. The unused Mino map in noob village could be isolated for this purpose as it serves no purpose atm (and it would be closed off from noob vill and added to the Soldier NPC probably).

    The idea is not to make taos and wars as easy to level as wizzies, but to close the gap some.

    Would really like to hear ideas that help achieve this but which dont unduly unbalance the classes.

    I set a bunch of higher level mobs able to be trapped and hallucinated but not a lot of point if players cannot get there chars high enough. Hopefully this idea will add some incentive to them levelling to get access to that new area of 'fun'

    I don't think the Map with loads of lowered mobs imo, that would just be a leveling cave and if you didnt get the stats right on the mobs, it could wreck the server.

    I like the idea about the EXP bar though

    u think u will be able to make the exp revert back or prevent grouping, as far as i know it cant be done, but if u can excelentttttttttt lol

    i was hoping there was an "OnGroup" command for the qfunction - will be trying to find out today

    Would this also apply to the 4x bars as they cost more so should also get the benefit of having the increased exp bonus working on a %'age of boost.

    i dont think there is. only ones i have found is @onmobkill @onmurder and another i cant remember lol. think there is one for when u equip summert nall.

    seems abit gay tbh
    all ways thought

    wizzes = high lvls
    warrs = power
    tao = a mixture of both

    so do wizzes get extra power boost or somin coz it all ways seems you are allways talking about changing things to help warrs and taos and wizzes yet again get jack ****.

    amen to that, is taos want "even lvling" or what ever then wizzies want poison!!

    taos hard to lvl cos at a high lvl they r close to invincble!!

    Predictably a mixed reaction.

    The aim is not to make levelling capability the same, simply to give as much fun and diversity to each class as possible without losing their distinct characteristics.

    I have some doubts about the levelling area myself but floated the idea as it was part of the debate I was having.

    The expbars are a nice touch tbh and even with the risk that someone could be levelled more than we might like by a heavy duty wizz, it still seems a good way to keep the focus on making each player do the work.

    I also like the idea of maybe tweaking the petrental so that taos and wars had access to some at a lower level than wizzies.

    If some of this is not done then there is a risk that boredham will creep in at 60ish for taos and wars (after numa set) and although I plan to add new sets, i still think there is more creative ways of adding fun than just whacking more items into the game.
