Selling items for real money

Can this be done? I read on some site that they buy/sell in-game items. I was wondering if it's true or if they con people?

You can donate to get GameGold which gives you the abilty to buy items

However if you are refering to buying items from players in game with real life money then I would strongly advise you not to. It is a bannable offense to buy accounts and items - there will be no back up from the server team what-so-ever.

the problem with allowing players to buy and sell items to each other is that more often than not something goes wrong - and the server team have no knowledge of what has happened so cant therefore step in and make a fair judgement call so its a no im afraid.
