Marius posted last week stating that they were having problems with the EskimoBelt part of this quest.

I have sat down again and gone through the NPC's testing them to make sure that they are working as they should do.

I can confirm that this quest is working.

My suggestion would be to do the quest and read what the NPC's say rather than trying to cut corners and buy items relating to this quest.
