Player help

was reading through a lot of requests for GM help and tbh alot of it is answered and solved by active players... so lone any chance there could me a permanent post of players who need help but not gm help.. would save you lot looking at so many posts

I saw this and it concerned me slightly that perhaps we had missed some important threads, I had a bit of a search on the forum - The only place that I could see questions gone unanswered by any LR staff is when we took time out for LonesGirlfriend's birthday, I personally try and get as many problems answered or solved as I can unless its something that is out of my field of knowledge.
The staff pick up after each other and cover anything that's missed due to perhaps the times that we are on the forums
The active players are helpful and generally help with what they can as well which is something that you don't really see much of on other servers.

Whether your queries are posted in their own thread or a purposely made sticky, I'm sure that the issues will be commented on by both staff and players, I'd still expect staff to look at it just in case the wrong information was provided to you - Unless your talking about game play and such like then yes players responses would probably be a little more informative.

its a great idea tbh as ares has mentioned the staff do try to cover everything but often you guys end up getting their first. :P (which is something i made a big point of when i was sitting at laptas place and he was getting complaints and all sorts from the HR players- i was telling him how great you guys actually are at helping each other out, i logged on to the forum to check pms quickly and found that all the questions had been answered and it just proved my point :P )


the only issue i have with the Stick thread would be that more often than not people dont read whats already here so it might end up weith you guys getting frustrated saying "READ THE BLOODY FAQS!" (which i would hate to see lol)

But im sure we can set an FAQ/Help thread up and when questions are answered we can stick them in there with a link in the top post linking to the fix post kind of thing

was only thinking cos faqs dont always cover everything unless its a mahoosive long list of them..and that would take time to put together to cover most things.

you mean stop my occasional spamming fits? lol

for the FAQs what i was thinking was like the Rolling list - as the questions come up we add them to the thread, then in the first post you have something like

I Cant Connect

so there would be a link to the post withthe fix in it


if they are all in 1 thread it should be alot easier for people to find them rather than multiple posts in a subsection that new players would probably Ignore

cool, was just notcing things like... gm help my bag bugged or something and your right we always get there first lol... but just an idea to keep some weight off you lot cause tbh its a **** hot server and i would rather you spent your time developing it than answering stuff the community is more than happy to answer for you.. specially when peeps missing maps etc
