Access Violation

When I click to run mir this morning im getting loads of boxes popping up saying

Access violation at address 004FB060 in module 'mir2.exe'. Read of address 000005A4

Was working fine last night, not sure whats wrong with it any ideas please?

Is your MirRevenge folder in your exception list for your anti-virus software?

Don't think its on exception list but we havn't had any problems with the antivirus since we got rid of norton and started using avast.

Well the other option would be your sound card drivers

hmmm now I have no idea, rebooted and when i restared I got a box pop up from microsoft saying

Data Execution Provention - Microsoft Windows
To help protect your computer, windows has closed this programme
Generic Host Process for Win32 Services

And mir is working now so no idea

yeah this is normally down to the sound card or the graphics card drivers having an issue.

if you have your OS cd try reinstalling the drivers from it or get updated ones from the manufacturers website and you should be fixed up and ready to go (it could be that you had an automatic update last night of an install of DirectX for another game might of messed something up)

Does anyone else use the PC your on? and if so did they use it last night to install/download anything??

thats why your getting your errors it has nothing to do with sound/graphics drivers conflicting
