    Default Daily Quests

    I'm in the process of typing a million and one simple quests up that can be done each day, with random ones available each day, ideally 3-5 will be up for being done every day, maybe more. They'll be ranging from killing hens and deers, to killing Minotaurs, to killing OmaKing, to tracking down an npc. I'm hoping to do a quest for every single cave and a handful more for specific bosses.

    I'm looking at a general completion time of 5 to 30 minutes for most, with the more difficult/complex ones taking an hour or more.

    I'll give you a taster of the very first one I wrote off the top of my head (as they all are );

    Hello <username>, I'm hoping that you are able to assist me with a problem that I'm having.
    My pet dog, Rush, is having some stomach problems, I'm worried about him and his health,
    could you venture in to the caves that sit under the Red Moon and collect a rare herb
    known as the 'Medicinal Herb', it is said that an evil creature deep within the cave
    grows this special herb on it's body, please hurry, Rush's life is in your hands!

    Go kill RME, 100% drop chance on the herb, awards 2 quest points.

    Quest points will be used like GamePoints, which we'll also try to build on, I'd like to put something in that'd cost you something like 500 QP and would give you a random Heaven or Hell item, for example.

    Gd idea, but if u make it 100% drop rate then people could just stay there and camp it for ages, get loads of the herbs and then just redo the quest easily and quickly, so they could get the hev hell items at ease:P so make it so they have to kill the boss using quest flags isit?

    Love this idea. Instead of definatly giving them an item though should do some sort of roulete. As in you gamble your points depending on how much you gamble depends on what you get. Could add exp bonus's, items etc depending on amount you "gamble"

    Also if the quest is daily even if they stockpiled the herbs they would only be able to do it every day.

    easiest way to resolve this is to have the herb only drop 1/1 if you have the original flag checked and it gets wiped when you kill the boss (this is possible )

    Nice idea ! im not sure how possible this would be but..... Could you have another button (where the guild, map and relationship buttons are) saying 'Quests'.

    It could sort of be like a Story mode to the game, when you first start you have an 'intro' quest then once that quest is completed the next quest would appear in your quest box!

    As the quests get harder it would also encourage players to level so they can complete the next quest!

    that the original DD or some kind of imposter??

    :P your quest idea sounds like the Quest system from Mir3 that was pretty good system tbh

    I had a feeling you'd be the one to explain it in simple terms that were stick technical, tar. :P

    Quest-story line sounds good lega, we could do that with different quests (got loads in the works, Ren is typing a lot up whilst doing other stuff, I'm busy learning why Tao's are underplayed and Sek is busy with server-side stuff + r/l atm), so we'll come back to that in the near future, once things calm down a bit. But yes, I like the thought there.

    There was a Heaven and Hell system on the last server I GM'd, a friend has actually (randomly) wrote up 90%+ of the things we need to make that work, glad he told me before I got through it, as it's not a 5 minute bit of work, lol.

    I'm not familiar with HR, but I assume it's much like their Good and Evil system (there's loads of different ones on various servers, basic idea is two quest paths, choose one or the other, they provide their own unique rewards/tasks). I'll let Ren explain that at some point, when he's went through it and reworded the bits he doesn't like (more of a drama queen about spelling/grammar than I am!).
