    Default Remove orbs and gems?

    Just a random thought I've had, how about we remove them altogether? Or maybe just orbs?

    I miss the days on Euro where someone would get an mc+3 low level item and it'd be OMGWTF?! And it'd be worth an utter fortune.

    Remember, we're removing PA entirely and will either remove or alter how Slow works, if we removed gems AND orbs, we'd probably really mess with Curse, so it doesn't own Warriors who're unable to slow the Tao.

    I know alot of ppl who play the game that get a bigger buzz from upgrading there items than lvling.

    I think it would probably be a deterant rather than an attraction if u removed gem / orbs completly, if anything just make them rare so its an even bigger buzz to find 1 and upgrade

    Removing them completely would be a bad idea i think, like Dawarns said lets just make them both rare so when you do get one its like OMGWTF!? Make gems not as rare but still have a way to turn them into orbs once you collect enough. Also take out U and L orbs, just have them all as normal so the prices dont fluctuate.

    I must say, I quite like having a difference in orbs, it gives you a way to value them more accurately , gems however I think we'll remove at least U's, maybe norm's as well.

    Unless something changes, I'm happy to keep gems and orbs ingame, just keeping orbs pretty damn rare. More opinions are welcome though.

    PA is being removed, read the other threads you lazy bum. :P

    PA ruins solo boss killing balance - Warriors with more than 10 PA can solo most bosses ingame that a Wizard can't and a Tao needs insane patience to be able to solo. Remove PA, make Tao's valuable and bring back some balance to things.

    The idea of removing them was just some odd thought, but opinion so far is to keep them and to keep them rare, which seems good to me.

    I have a feeling totally removing PA is a mistake - as mentioned its become a major part of a warriors arsenal and stripping it out would probably mean diehard warriors would choose another server over this one >.<

    Instead of stripping it out why not make it so 9 doesnt mean ultimate damage - make it something like for each pa you have a 1% change of doing a poison attack which has a maximum damage. maybe something equal to a sc 25 taoist so its enough to stop the regen but doesnt destroy bosses which would still make taoists useful (also if you could code the mobs to have poison resistance it would mean you could set bosses so that the PA has a reduced affect on them but that would probably need to be discussed with the coder )


    as to Gems and Orbs - i would say Orbs Uber rare/Gems rare, but leave in both (U)/(L) as you mentioned it gives you a chance to better clearify them, and you could make the Gem(U) alot less rare as they tend to blow things up which helps keep things out of the game ^.^ (but dont allow Gems to be upgraded to orbs only do it so gem(U) can be upgraded to norm and then (L) and the same for orbs

    Cba to read thread (Well, read up to Lones essay -.-), dont remove them, but make them really rare. Make them drop only off the higher bosses at like 1/2000 (Im rusty with rates, been a while ). But like maybe 1 or two drop every fortnight. Then when you get one its actually worth something.

    I agree with scrapping U and L completely. Just have standard orbs. With them being rare norms and Ls will sit in stores for ages not getting used, due to the shortage of getting to +3 with the rare U's.

    Iv noticed on PrivServers its very rare you get an item drop with +stats.... On euro you'd go BugCave and get an absolute shed load, albeit useless most of them, like MC0-1 PowerAxes ..... Is there a way to up the rate of added stats ever so slightly. Playing LR and Extreme for a while ive not had more than 10 +stat dropping items.

    Worth a look at!

    Hmmm, maybe scrapping U Orbs is the way to go, as you rightly pointed out Adv, people will spend forever waiting to use their norm/lucky orbs, while they get +3 from U's, however if we were to make norms pretty rare and lucky REALLY rare, then when you do see someone with +7 stats on an item it'd be there "Woah! Look at that item, sick!" effect we used to have on Euro pre gems.

    If it's viable to alter PA's uses entirely, I'd be happy to keep it in, with 1% chance of a decent PA hit per point of PA, it means even with the 28 PA that we see on Extreme you'd only have a 28% chance per swing to poison the target (means poison would rarely full off, if the mob had zero PR and wasn't dodging attacks often)... Something to ask the Coder about. ^^
