Evo opening friday

As usual with things not in our control, we've been delayed once again, first we had hosts that couldn't be bothered to reply to Jamie's email, then when they finally got around to giving us a server it was the wrong operating system, so we had a long wait to get another server with the correct operating system (Ezzo actually managed to make the first one work before they managed to get the new one online, but Jamie is playing with it to learn things).

We got access to the server very late last night, but it was missing some essential programs, gladly Lapta sorted that out for us, so work began on it today, to find out the backup's that Cerby had made weren't over-writing previous ones, so we lost quite a few changes. Luckily our fountain of knowledge is also insistent on keeping logs of what he does, so it's just a case of redoing them, rather than finding everything from scratch.

It'll take another day or two to get everything done, we should be capable of going online by thursday, but with the amount of delays so far, we'd prefer to put a day on top, which means we're up for the weekend.

Apologies for delays, but almost everything has been out of our hands, they're finally up to us, so things will move along much quicker now, namely thanks to the speed that Cerby works at.

No thanks for my entire 30 minutes of testing cave entrances (need my RB status to be removed btw, then one of you to tele me to mw and pi map's so I can see if Sigal works properly :x).

Why tele you to pi or mw with no rebirth?

Alot of work was done last night to fix the missing problems. Its now a case of correcting the latest bugs Beta testers found and then adding one or two things.

Actually scratch that, can test it whilst being RB, was thinking of a possible exploit but I don't need un-RB to check it out. :x

Just to let you guys know, everything is going well and is on track to be ready on Friday, Prov has spoken with jamie and if you patch on Friday should add this server to your server lists. Prov or Ren will also make a post detailing how to add the server incase it isnt done or someone has problems with patcher.

Can just rip the one off from the Beta post I made and change the IP's, we can include any future updates on there until they get put in the autopatcher too.

Just a little update; Cerb's been working his face off to get lots of changes implemented, Ren's gone through the entire item DB (2k items, over half are equipment) and altered a large portion of the item's repair costs, as some were way out of whack.

We had intended to have a SpecialRepairOrb ingame, which would work much like a StorageOrb, but you'd get a window for say 3 minutes which would special repair your items for free, these would of been dropping from top end bosses and have been relatively pricey to donate for, unfortunately it's not possible to make these work with the current files. Although this is an annoying loss, we should be able to make it work with the new files, so by the time people are 350+ and doing the bosses that would of had the SROrb in their DF's, we should have it all working anyway.

Loads of GG pets have been done, think we need to do more balancing tomorrow, but we got the most important ones done yesterday and today.

Millions of typo's and grammatical errors have been corrected, which took bloody forever, there will still be a handful ingame because whoever wrote the original npc's (most likely Jamie), didn't spell check them. :x

PetToken system has been planned out to a decent degree, including levels, different sized tokens, they're aimed at the higher levels though (I think the main ones were at 250+? Too tired to check in all honesty), so that should also be done by the time anyone gets close to being able to use them.

I'm sure there's more, but it's been a long day for all of us, Cerb's probably dead in bed and Ren's about to crash (so much so, that he made me type this - Seriously tired in other words xD), I barely did anything and I feel like death, lol. Will get more updates posted tomorrow if Ren or I get chance, Cerb might pop on during the day but he's going to be heavily busy, so doubt you'll see him much pre-launch.
