Some Basic Rules.

SafeZone Maps; Are not there for you to abuse, they're there so you can level without fear of some high level rushing past and 1-2 shotting you. Standing on drops that belong to other people or afk levelling isn't allowed - If you're caught doing either (afk levelling will require a handful of screenshots showing that you've not moved in at least 15 minutes), you'll be punished.

Abuse; Winding one another up is fine, but when it gets too personal, you're going to get yourself temp banned. Remember, just because you can say things without being blocked by the swear filter, doesn't mean you're allowed to - Abuse it and we'll have to turn the swear filter on and add words to it.
NOTE, abuse in a language other than English will be treated more harshly than abuse in English - This is an English server with English server runners/GM's, other languages are fine in group/guild chat and pm's, but if you wish to speak in public please try and use English to avoid people thinking you're giving them abuse. End of the day we don't want to alienate foreign players, but if we don't speak your language, we don't know what you're saying, then have to get someone to translate it to make sure it's not abusive - Gives us more work, gives us (and you) more hassle and thus decreases the time we have to help people and update the server.

Bug Exploiting; Will be dealt with harshly, if you tell us when you find a bug, chances are we'll reward you, if you're caught exploiting it (and in almost all cases, this will happen very early), you'll be punished, most likely with a perm ban.

Cheating; If you're caught cheating without a shadow of a doubt, you'll be IP banned, the server logs a surprising amount of things, which are checked very often, if the server logs you cheating, we'll make sure it's accurate (you never know who's watching you ) and then you'll be removed. If you believe someone is dodgy, give us their name, anyone we're uncertain of get watched, considering it's not uncommon for me to be on from 5pm to 5pm the following evening, which is roughly when Cerb gets on, you've then got 24 hour surveillance. ^^

Pets and PetParking; As anyone who was around for the first week will tell you, pet's being left afk in BW sz is a huge pain in the ass, it is steadily decreasing and has got much better since PetParking was added and updated - Please do not leave your pets afk in sz for large amounts of time.

Pet Replacements; These will only be done with unscheduled reboots for GGPets.

Events; All events, unless clearly announced otherwise, will be non-PK, if you can't pick up the drop, get off of it, if you can, pick it up. If you die (and for some unknown reason) log, this makes any of your existing drops free for all, if this happens anyone may pick the items up. In the case of someone standing on a drop and not picking it up, pm me their name QUICKLY (something like "PlayerA on drop"), so I can tele to them, see they're on a drop, tell them to pick it up and if they don't, I'll ting them.

Almost all events will be on a specific map, so I/Cerb have to recall you there, this prevents idiots being idiots, for the sake of being idiots. Make sure you only pm us once each time we ask for recall pm's, otherwise you might get recalled, then recalled 30 seconds later when we hit your name again. Make sure you're on Peace before entering the map, if you're caught brown you get a warning (in some cases you won't even get this), if you're caught again then you're banned from the event and/or @killed. Excessive idiocy will result in bans from future events that are limited to the GM's disgression (we might ban you from the next event or the next 10 events, it's up to us).

Misc: GM's are there to help you, I spend literally 15-18 hours a day with my laptop and desktop pc on and often helping someone ingame while helping someone else on msn/the forums, so far most people are polite and thankful, but we've had some people manage to some how get very abusive when we've been soft if anything. Before you have a go at a GM over something, stop and think why you're pissed off and explain what the problem is. If you give me abuse, I'll ban you, if you explain that you're really angry about ProblemX because ReasonX, I'll listen and try to help resolve it.

Prison: With people being how Mir players always are, we need some form of punishment that isn't quite as harsh as a full ban, so we now have the Prison system, the beauty of this is that we'll put you in there for a set amount of time, when that time is up, if you've left the Prison, you get a temp ban - If you're inside the prison, where we left you, then your punishment will be over. You CAN @tt from prison and there are other ways to escape, getting back in however, is impossible, so we'll know.

Ignorance isn't an excuse, this is in the "Important Threads" link, if you can't be bothered to read them, then it's tough when you get banned for breaking a rule listed here.

Events updated after last night's drama - In future events drops are for you lot to sort out amongst yourselves, I'll only get involved if someone is PKing you to take your drop (when it's a non-PK event) or is stood on your drop and is unable to pick it up - As this is exploiting the fundamental idea of the general spawning event (no pk'ing - They stand on your drop and you're screwed).
