    Default Firewall Opinions

    Viable ways to reduce the effectiveness of firewall. On most servers firewall is used every now and then for lvling but surrounding yourself with mobs and ff /tstorm has always been the most viable way apart from a few places where firewall is best.

    Few ideas i have.

    Reduce the mc on all items.
    Change the AI of all lvling mobs to work like Zumas (dont walk into firewall)

    Ideas?
    Opinions?
    It seems like such a terrible shame that innocent civilians have to get hurt in wars, otherwise combat would be such a wonderfully healthy way to rid the human race of unneeded trash.

    I posted this 40mins ago and other threads have been spammed since. Need opinions guys.

    MC Reduction idea didn't really go well, after all that time you spent reducing it to see the minor increases between kit... Unless we chop out say MC from all starter rings/bracers and then have both of them much lower at higher levels and increase the spell power of everything bar FW to compensate? Basically the end result would be MagicShield and FW lasting for less time and your other spells being slightly stronger (if anything, it's a gain, you don't REALLY need FW lasting more than a minute).

    Not a fan of the second idea, though I do like discouraging people from FWing an entire cave to level, I think that discouraging people from using FW to death (because it will run out, thus they don't FF/MS much) is great, but making it somewhat pointless for in caves (where you need to do damage) isn't the way to go, it also opens up the floor to FW-running to places, like many of us did in ye olde ZT days.

    Tbh if people dont reply ill just remove the skill

    leave it as it is tbh and for SW mabye use the GT palace map the same way GW is on HR so it's harder to keep it FWed all the time

    Both ideas arent viable unless your gonna absolutely whack spell power up... Cause the MC/CharHP ratio is already way out as it is. A warr can just about outpot a wizzies MC 1 v 1 atm. Warr being 230 and w/ ant/oma kit and me w/ 204-322MC.

    Changing Ai would - as Prov said - open the gates for "Fw corners 2 fws and run thru - gf" ... Can get to any kr w/ ease.

    Dont understand why you wish to alter FW - no other server has felt the neccesity to do so. Nor have i actually seen ne1 complain about it either.

    The fact of the matter is you have a high rate server (Level-wise) with stats that dont match the HP people have. Ofcourse thats bias... Cause a warr can still 2/3 hit me easily. But due to AMC on items combined with masses of HP that come w/ the levels achievable - Gf wiz and tao.

    Could complain about that but - other things are more important.

    Leave it as it is.

    Warrs have insane BA and high HP - Taos have crazy high survivability - Wiz have strong offense and low HP (2k goes down quick to a warr)

    Always been the same.

    me n advent dont exactly get on but the guy knows wot he's talking about here, everything he has said i agree with and think the same, its easy for warrs to kill a wizz if they can catch us and its hard for a wiz to hit a tao cos of shinny n poison owns so it balances out(ish)

    if u implement the ideas u have had its gna make it way unfair

    sry for not having any ideas myself atm i'll think n come bk to u

    Ah nm was speaking with Jamie, was worried the amount of fw currently ingame wa resulting in the lag people have been getting but it would only effect players on screen.

    Fw will be staying the same.

    i know it has been explained countless times why the base is so high but if it wasnt ( assuming there isnt stupidly high luck aswell) FW would last alot more random times - sometimes it would last 20 secs cos base is **** or sometimes it would last a minute cos top end is high.

    it was never a problem on a server i played and we all had sw and caer FW'd but we had to keep fw'ing the floor every 10-40 secs.

    i guess what i am trying to say is if base wasnt so high the duration would be more random and less noticeable.
