RME Quest

Kinda confused... i tried understanding what the npc was saying but it said i need a jade crystal at the start of the quest. isnt the jade crystal from the red/grey evil ape things after you speak to the guy in rme?

Is this quest completly different to every other server as i have been killing the spiders on tree path as you would normally to start the quest after speaking with the taoit guy.

Any pointers would be great

I ended up buy the crystal from tm as i didn't know how to start it, now that i've got to Abel, he's asking me to kill a spider to get the oil ( which used to be when he would tele you to fake rme to get the oil )

buy in simple form u need jade crystal
take to big taoist in fake 5th
then get bloodchip then ape heart n oil
jade crystal frm evilapes, go on 5th to get them

It starts in tao school. Talk to one of the guys just up from SZ then go talk to the women in the house at the top of tao school.

Now you have to go kill some evil apes to get the jade crystal. Apes can be found on 5th floor of red valley cave's.
Be sure to go to 5th floor S2 (the one with the door to rme) because there is more evil apes there.
Evil apes can also be found on 4th floor. (But not many on 4th)

After you get the jade crystal you need to go see big tao. He can be found on 5th floor S1 (just west of 5th S2) at 179:54 (top right of room)

After you have spoke to him you need to go to 11:27 (S1). Its a secret room so there is no door, just stand at 11:27 and you will be teleported in. Kill red evil apes in this room until you get the blood sword chip then go back to big tao.

When you talk to big tao he ask you to get evil ape oil from a rare spider (crystal spider). I think the oil only drops form CS on the 3rd floor up, but not 100% sure about this tbh.


Ok now you have to go kill some grey evil apes that can be found in secret number 2 on S2 at 183:178 (right hand side of the room).

Kill them until you get an ape heart.

After you have the heart go back to big tao and he will teleport you to a room with a rme in it. Make sure you have evil ape oil and evil ape heart in your bag btw.

After killing rme pick up the heart that drops, use the NPC to tele out of the room then talk to big tao and the items will drop in your bag.

im lvl 45 and just tried the rme part of quest and got raped lol. Im a war...how do u do this?
He does tele you to a fake rme right?

Bring a lot of sunnies with you and if your 45 rest your foxes in town then whenyou get to rme unrest them and let them do the work (if your a warrior stand behind your fox and thrust rme)

And ape summons can be used to do an ape invasion in BW , you can get voodoo items drop from this so I recommend doing this when BW is near emtpy of players ie early morning

As Morz said, ApeSummon makes apes invade BW, if you want, chuck me a pm (Provectus ingame) and I'll help you kill them all, as there's quite a few. :P

'Fake' RME is a bugger, he hits pretty hard, you want to borrow (or gem) some slow on to your kit, 4-5 in total is plenty really, keep on hitting it (in melee range, not thrusting) and it'll keep it slowed, so it's fairly easy to outpot. Personally I used GG pets (Tigers) at level 42, levelled during the collection of the quest bits to 45, got to RME and tigers did most of the work for me.

It's a tough one for your level, but the items are awesome, still using one RME ring now on my Tao at 63, lol. Base ac/amc on it is immense, not so insane for a Warrior (as dc6-5 is a bit poop), but it opens up DarkMoon quest, which is more extensive, but it yields a similar set (Helm/Bracer/Ring) which is 12-12 all stats (on all 3 items) and has a lvl 55 req. You need 2k SpiderWebs and 500 Red AND Black threads (Red/Black Boars in ST) as well as other things, but those 3 are the main 'grind your face off' type things to collect.

On the subject of ape summons ... They are pretty tough tbh I don't think you and prov alone could handle it so when you summon the invasion pm me aswell ( nymph) just to be on the safe side ^_^
