Server Move, Exp tables

I think these two things are the main topics being discussed ingame at the moment. Is the server being moved today and when will the new exp tables be going in.

The exp tables should just be replacing the text file shouldnt it, so even if the server isnt moved today cant the exp tables be put in by simply copying over the ones that are allready there, its also easy to back up by saving both copies if there are any issues with it.

I dont mind being patient, i was just wondering what the problem was as it shoudlnt be effected by the ram upgrade needed or any problems with the database as its a text file.

It will be done soon, you can still lvl as normal, and when tables get changed you will just jump a load of lvls

I'm guessing it could be a problem with the amount of work the server would have to do...

I'm guessing that by changing the exp tables over by just replacing the exps.ini file??? you would not get any levels boost and would just get the advantage of the new exp required to level although could be completely wrong and also if there were an influx of players who have ssuddenly jumped up levels there would be greater load of mobs being killed quicker/more mobs having to be spawned as more have been killed etc. I could be completely wrong here, it's a Dall guestimate!

I'm sure it will get done asap but for the time being it's just sit back and wait. There was a post about the move/delay last night by Jamie.

its not just a text file, you have to change it all in the database manually. he said in one of his threads that he wants to put all the updates in at once (im guessing to save taking it down more than necessary) and to do that he needs to put it on the 4 gig server. as soon as he can put it up im sure he will.
