    Default New or current tables?

This isn't official, this is a player making a poll to collect opinions from other players, meaning that even if every single player votes for one or the other, that isn't what will happen.

Bear in mind that something is very likely to change, even if we get the new tables, this could lead to losing some levels, but as it is, this server isn't Extreme and the thing that'll really make it step up to that level, is the exp (which is royally ****ed up atm).

It would require checking the old (current) exp tables to calculate how much exp a level 70 player has gained to date (simple to do, just read how much exp is required for level 1-2, 2-3, etc etc all the way to 69-70) and then checking it against the 'new' levels people are given, to make sure we've not gained too much/little.

i voted, but I figure this is pointless, juice has tried a few times to change the tables, it was fked! If she follows u4ea's advice and it works, well and good.

This poll isn't going to do anythign whatsoever, if she can change them you know she will. If she can't, she can't.

This is from Yoof, he knows his geeky shiz!

I reckon the tables that went in earlier were correct tbh. After lvl 76 the exp per lvl start getting screwed big time, lvls 76-77 and 85-88 all require 1.8-2.8 Bil exp (I'm sure there's more), yet others (e.g 89-90) need 500 Mil exp!

As an example, if playerA was on 76.10 and playerB was on 76.90, that's 2.7bil * 0.8 = 2.16bil exp difference... which is probably about 6 lvls with the new tables!

    I would suggest:

    - Arrange for a server reboot when the server is BUSY (so we can get the exp sorted quickly for most people).
    - Before the reboot, create a reference table of the cumulative exp and lvls (e.g: 0exp = lvl 1, 100=2, 1000=3 etc) for the NEW tables (I guess the ini file is like this anyway?).
    - Shutdown the server when arranged.
    - Grab a copy of the Name, exp and lvl columns from the database as it stands at shutdown. (put in excel)
    - Apply the new exp tables.
    - Start server.
    - If anyone isn't happy with their lvl/exp they can then be cross referenced with the CURRENT database vs the spreadsheet and exp/lvl reference table to make sure they haven't lost actual exp and are the correct level to match that exp.

that is correct i knew it was correct the thing i didnt understand was lower levels out doing higher levels for example advent was a lower level than XXXX forgot the name sorry,

but xxxx didnt gain any levels and advent shot up to 106.

this is what im not understanding i have a good understanding of numbers and a very good understanding of all the files im just not understanding why some people gained more levels than people lower than them before the exp change.

Yeah, that was hitzor you were talking about. Seumus went up 8 levels at level 75 and I went up none at 76... makes no sense!

Maybe just do it and if anyone isn't happy with their lvl you can be cross reference between the other players, using the old level DB and the new ones?

Because as it is the levels are insane, yet another example of this is that it took me 3.7bil exp from 77-78 and only 400mil to 78-79!!

this is the only reason why i did not leave them in i cant make sense of it only thing i can think of is maybe it does it from the exp you have @ that level.

as i dont think the server counts exp gain per level just exp gain from the level you are on

    so

if Jacob is level 75 and 99 % he needs 100 mill to get from 75 to 76 it will mean he has 99mil gain

and if ally is level 78 and 20% and needs 100 mil to get from level 78-79 it means she has only 20mill gain then the server updates

from the exp gain that level not the exp gain from all levels
