SR yes or no?

This is an unofficial poll, nothing to do with juice at all. I am just wondering what people think on taking SR out of the game, to give Juice an idea?

Can't really see the value in taking it out.

So many items have massive duras and there is so much stuff in the game already I can't see the removal of SR having much effect unless the entire kit was reset to new and lower dura values. With lucky orbs selling for peanuts its a bit late for tweaking duras I think.

Most items (pretty much everything below level 70 in itemsDB) have no value/use anyway as you can get level 75-80 in an hour or two and nothing in the shops is ever used but is still dropped. Really nice items are selling for small money as the items market starts to get bigger than the player count.

The initial invasion tokens type stuff and the RME quest are all pointless now as the new kit has outstripped/bypassed the basic server file structure. All good for a few weeks fun but not useful for the long term.

Now if the server had a wipe every 3-4 months then you could reconsider SR as part of an overall review but in isolation I say 'best leave it alone' as it will probably just cause a flood of new problems and whinging. If it aint broke.............

I think it should either be kept in or maybe do sumink like u can SR it something like 5 times... thn u can no longer SR it

I agree with Pen, although i do think its daft. No economy will ever grow as items never die.

Reassess the price of SpecialRepair.... Some of my +30/40 stat items cost like 9k to repair.... lol

Still, if you take it out along with dura orbs, items will slowly die. Better late then never!!

only problem is if u start messing with the market def folder it can quite easily be messed up.for example on high rate to repair alord blade just 18 dura, not full special repair it was asking for 900 million which u cant even hold in your bag.but yes if special repair price was raised to a huge ammount ppl would just normal repair and use dura orbs.but the special repair price would also increase aswell. so you,d be fked either way.

the item repair cost is based on the total cost of the item in the DB not the Market Def
so its simply a case of changing the item price and then reloading the DB ( I assume that lapta when through and priced everything up at one point so he didnt need to keep Khin script Updated but ended up getting confused when messing with the special repair at the same time

the only problem with raising the repair/special repair costs (by editing the item price ) is that if someone goes and sells the item to the shop they will get the Mega high price set for the weapon in the DB which could mean cash Floods the server over night as people end up getting more money from the shops than the players for their items.

therefore increasing the amount people will buy items for as none will be ingame cos people sell em to shops. unless you can still upgrade your items whenever you level without no hassle what so ever (so many of each item ingame last time i played).
