    Default Auto Invasions

    I'll need to look into the DB for various bits and pieces but i was considering the idea for LR which would suit extreme just as well.

    There will be various monsters in caves which will trigger different invasions, in the invasions there will be mobs which will trigger the next wave of mobs to invade and so on.

    this will mean you guys dont need to have a GM online to have the larger invasions which Holly/Juice were needed online for previously.

    Though I like this idea (the idea of a mob in the first wave triggering the next one is awesome, didn't know that could be done), the down side of that is that if for example I'm hunting in a cave and kill the mob that triggers the invasion I then have to decide between going for the invasion or staying there hunting. So although it is great for when you/no other GM's are free, I'd personally much prefer a GM is there to do the spawns, as you have some kind of notice and don't go off for a long hunt to find the only invasion of that day is now clashing with your hunt.

    ty for the script only problem with that is that people would need to be online at scheduled times - the idea of the Auto invasion is to have random invasions


    And provo when a GM is online - there are often people out leveling anyway and they need to make the decision if they want to go to the invasion or not

    so it really depends on what they fancy - the current invasions have x3 exp for the mobs that invade and if we have multiple waves coming in from various trigger mobs it could mean they pick up more exp than they would get in the first place

    Soooo its once again all down to a player having more choices.


    (although i might steal Pow's script and add in a couple of scheduled invasions as well for those that like to have an ordered life style :P )

    Though that may well be the case now, with GM's actually being online, in the past Holly/Juice were only on for an hour or two, as soon as anyone saw them online they knew an invasion was coming (as they weren't on that much, they did a big invasion most of the time to keep people occupied/happy), so you had some form of warning that one was incoming.

    Ideally give people some notice before a GM does an invasion, I know I used to love the invasions but when we'd just got inside ERR it wasn't even a choice, we stayed put... If we had known an invasion was going to happen, we'd of probably delayed the ERR run.

    these auto invasions will only benefit bw bums in my opinion
    av ova ppl hunt these trigger mobs n these bw bums reap the benefits

    As long as there's no/few drops and the exp is worse than going hunting then the "bw bums" won't be benefited.

    i didnt say they would be all in bw so if they are afk in BW then they may pick up a few mobs but i prefer to spread invasions out abit, Having BW/SW/MW/Serpent/Noob Towns/Greatwall Tao Vill al being invaded at one point or another.


    There would be a global shout to tell you guys that a trigger mob had been killed and an invasion is on the way

    I'd also want to start the Mobs alot further away from the bridges of BW if it was going to be a BW spawn so the chances are that the mobs would end up trapped round the edges of the town rather than flooding the sz.

    The only items i would want in the invasions would be invasion tokens and pots etc - if a boss is spawned in them i would like it to have the regular drop file - so you have just as much chance of getting the same item from hunting as being in the Invasion itself.

    As to the exp i found the previous invasions where the mobs had 3 times as much exp as the mobs in the caves actually quite good but this can be adjusted if the common opinion keep it the same or slightly lower.
