    Default Infooooo pleaseeeee

So yeah I don't really know anything about mir revenge servers so can someone explain the difference between the gems/orbs? I have only ever played the euro clone which closed and read forums but these 2 types of gems/orbs? (U)/(L)?

Any other big changes from euro which I should probably know about before I start playing?

Thanks in advance for any repliesssssssss

Well the main difference between a Gem and an Orb isss...

Gems can break your item, where as Orbs might just fail but will leave the item intact to be used again.

The different in the (U) Normal (L) stands for Unlucky, Normal, Lucky which represents the chance of the gem/orb adding a stat or not.

im sure people will go into more details but thats the basic info on them

    (U) meens unlucky, (L) meens lucky i believe that U has 25% chance of sucess rate and L 70% and 50% for normal or sumit like that

oh yeah as you add more stats to an item the success rate of the Gems/Orbs goes down so it makes sense to use Unlucky ones first and then work your way up to Normal and then Luckys

I have (had) a +15 stat DeathGaunt if I remember correctly, fully gemmed, before orbs became common... I was so proud of it.

Oh god its geekishness time but hey.......

Each orb can be set to have different success rates.

Extreme initially had the settings for Orbs set to:

    Unlucky
    - 30% chance of working on item with no added/same stat
    - 20% chance of working on item with one added/same stat
    - 10% chance of working on item with two added/same stat
    - 0% chance of working on item with three or more added/same stat

    Normal
    - 50% chance of working on item with no added/same stat
    - 40% chance of working on item with one added/same stat
    - 30% chance of working on item with two added/same stat
    - 20% chance of working on item with three added/same stat
    - 10% chance of working on item with four added/same stat
    - 0% chance of working on item with five or more added/same stat

    Lucky orb
    - 70% chance of working on item with no added/same stat
    - 60% chance of working on item with one added/same stat
    - 50% chance of working on item with two added/same stat
    - 40% chance of working on item with three added/same stat
    - 30% chance of working on item with four added/same stat
    - 20% chance of working on item with five added/same stat
    - 10% chance of working on item with six added/same stat
    - 0% chance of working on item with seven or more added/same stat

As you can see, the more stats an items has of the same type as the orb you intend using, the less chance you have of that orb working. If you want a high chance of success, use a high quality orb on a low added (same stat) item.

So just to be completely clear (hopefully), if you had a Violet ring with MC 0-5 on it and used a Lucky orb, you would have a 70% chance of it working. If the same Violet ring was MC 0-10 (5 added) no unlucky or normal orb would be any use to you. If you used a Lucky MC orb on the same MC 0-10 ring, you would have a 20% chance of getting it to +11

I must go and take my medication now................(*staggers away mumbling*)

I know they were fiddled with so damned if I know what they ended up being but as you can see, the more stats an items has of the same type, the less chance you have of any orb working. If you want a high chance of success, use a high quality orb on a low added (same stat) item.

So your saying if x = lucky orb and y = +5 stat item then x+y minus the x+y plus k+y and +jelly would be kinky?
It seems like such a terrible shame that innocent civilians have to get hurt in wars, otherwise combat would be such a wonderfully healthy way to rid the human race of unneeded trash.

What I liked was the fact that you couldn't get PR7 with L orbs, yet several of us used literally 100 or so trying it before giving up, lol.
