Pets.

I have just dug out a script which was used for the low rate valentines event where you needed to collect Female/Male DNA to be able to spawn pets - you start by collecting the basic Female/Male DNA which you then take to the mad scientist who will then be able to spawn a pet for you or upgrade your DNA so you can get a better pet. there are 4 levels or pet available, Baby, Teenager, Adult, Veteran (both Male and Female versions are available )

I will be adding to this NPC with DNA for other types on monsters as time goes on but these will need Rare monster DNA so if you find any DNA of any type in the drop files it will be relating to this npc

I need to do some tests on this tonight just to make sure that all the drops are reloaded and inplace correctly and the story he gives actually makes sense and doesnt reference valentines still


(the mad scientist will be the old Pet Rental npc - a direct teleport from BW Sigal will be put in so you dont need to hunt for pet rental teleports. - on the next reboot the Pet Rental NPC will have its name changed to the mad scientist )

but in short, you kill mobs, collect Vials of DNA, go to npc, and trade the DNA for pets.

If you want a better pet - you need to get more DNA and upgrade it then trade in the upgraded DNA

do you have to do this everytime you need a pet? or just once

but you should be able to pick up the DNA as you hunt (ill also stick it on the GP list so you can buy it that way)

is there a limit of many pets u can get ? or based on level ? or better dna drops from stronger caves ?
