Default Does luck effects MC/Wizard spells?

I've wondered this for years, and have always thought it did not. I have done experiments on old mir2 years ago which showed tbolt did not change with luck, however I seem to remember maybe icestorm etc. were effected?

I was wondering if anyone here could give me a definitive answer, as bene's might be more freely available, or maybe a developer could check this? If luck does effect MC, which spells does it effect, and is it in the same way as DC (no)?

it affects all spells if u get luck+9 in total on ur kit u will hit max mc every time altho some spells still do a random bit of dmg

e.g. tbolt with luck+0 will do 10-100dmg but with luck+9 u will do 90-100dmg - not actual figues but hope this help explain it

spells like FF and Blizz are the same but spells such as ice storm will always hit same dmg

Doesnt effect all spells Some spells go of base MC i think firewall is one. The ones that go of top end are effected by luck.
It seems like such a terrible shame that innocent civilians have to get hurt in wars, otherwise combat would be such a wonderfully healthy way to rid the human race of unneeded trash.

Well this can't be true cause firewall lasts different times and strengths every cast, so firewall must vary it's strength considerably.

Unless I'm very mistaken, some spells just don't make sense, FF for example never hits the same numbers 100% of the time, regardless of luck/mc (even with more base than top end, it varies, lol), it would be interesting to find out how they all 'really' work, but for now the short answer is yes, luck affects the damage your spells do (even if it's only a portion of them).

Well I completely agree with you there, alot of MC spells damage just don't make sense! With the damage seeming to show an extremely complicated pattern, and it would indeed be interesting to figure out, but I guess I'll have to take the short answer :-P

    Thanks all for your responses.

dont quote me on this one. but i would imagine that with some spells you will get a tollerance with them.

you would have your mc/sc/dc range. i.e. 200-300. you also get your spell power... 30 then you would have your tollerance added ontop of said figures. i.e -10 - 10 (minus 10 to plus 10) that would generate a random figure between the two numbers.

    so you would have stat range (200-300) +/x spell power (30) + tollerance (-10 - 10)

hence a variation no matter what stats you have or luck.

I dont know for sure as i cant understand a word of delphi lol. but thats how i generally code a battle/fight system when i develope a game.
