If you're still getting the problem (or do again in future), either ask someone else to try logging on, or ask someone already online if they have a second account they'd mind trying to log on (don't ask them to log off of their main account), it doesn't happen often, but the login gate can crash, meaning no-one can log on, but the server is still up and running.

Oh how I miss Euro! Friday afternoon "Login gate's gone down - See you all monday, we know Staff don't work weekends", no exaggeration, we often had 1-3 days of the login server being offline during the weekend, for a few months, as no Staff that were able/bothered would put the login gate back online. You lot are spoilt.
