Anybody running windows 7?
Any issues running mir?

Thinking of buying myself a copy but don't want this to stop mir working.

i liked a lot of vista features, it was just 2 slow and buggy
7 has it all and is fast 2

win98 2nd edition was best ever os, things move on though lol, cant stay on xp forever
new games, program compat

Windows 7 is great, it's the best OS I've used since XP. It's really fast.

I expect Windows XP is still your best bet for Mir (the same as a single core PSU beats a duo core), however as mentioned above, Windows 7 rocks and I've not had a problem running Mir from it.

I'm not sure if it's a fact, but the general way Mir has worked (if you're talking about as a player, where speed is important), older systems worked better, duo/quad cores are poop compared to single cores and XP was made back when single cores were the norm, whereas Windows 7 was made when duo cores were the norm (and quad cores are far from rare)... Would be interesting to find if one is actually better than the other, either way, as I don't play Mir competitively Windows 7 is epic !

Ive not actually tried Win7 yet but probs will do when I can get my hands on it.

XP is best for mir because of the way it distributes its resources. Mir is the type of game that needs 100% effort from your CPU and minimal on the background ****. Vista was all about the way it looked and all the features that ran in the OS itself. I suppose im wrong saying thats its a "fact" but in my opinion its by far the best OS to run if you mainly play Mir. Also you just cant do the same "tweaks" on any other OS that you can on XP that suit Mir.
