Xp professional and SQL 2000

Anyone tried setting it up with XP professional? Been trying all the time keeps getting same error error "the service did not start due to logon failure" even a mates tried it on this pc and nothing, could it be professional blocking it?

my xp pro came with sql on it... and yeah youve set id or password wrong

it the wrong setup

you have selected the wrong user name and configation.

looks like you have selected "Use windows user name and password" rather then SQl user name and password

Tryed that like 10000 times, reinstalling ect, quadruple checked the userand p word and still says it, even a mate tried it over remote assistance and didn't work -.-.
