bit of help please (sorry if this is in the wrong section)

got a bit of a problem with my gpu, in short it exploded. it's an nvidia card which i assumed would have been easy to replace, however the problem is its in laptop (a 7600 go, 256mb) anyone have any idea at all where i could find a replacement, i'm expecting to have to pay upward of ?200 so don't worry if it's expensive.

Normally you get some kind of send-in and repair guarantee with laptops. If you don't have this or you blew up the gfx card yourself, you can just order a new one from a retailer and put it in yourself. Not that big of a deal. Do keep in mind that most laptop vendors consider your guarantee void when you open up your laptop (this is not what the law says in most European countries, but it's hard to convince the vendors).

weren't really interested in it a few weeks ago bcause the guarintee was up, contacted them ealier and they said that theres a heat problem with the cards and that nvidia are recalling all of them to be replaced with a new ones. if you know anyone with one of these cards in a laptop it might be worth while getting them to ring their supplier.

1 ring alienware surely thats obvious? 2 i bet you 10 quid you can get the same laptop for half that, you're paying for the name nothing more

Same for I -Pod's init, buy creative mp3's better quality and like half of the price, lol.

well like i said it's sorted now, theres an product recall on all 7600 goes that are over heating so if you're having problems with them contact your supplier, they will replace it with an updated verson of the same card
