Reboots/Pets & GameGold FAO: Jamie

Sorry to be a pain, but I know a few people share this view, if theres going to be a weekly reboot, do it on the day promised - Friday I believe it was? Otherwise, people like me login on a Monday (Today) purchase Foxes, level them, then 20 minutes after they hit lvl 7 have the server rebooted, lose them and waste 150 gamegold, which might only be ?1.50 to some of you, but for a student with no money and a few bills to pay, its quite a bit to just throw away. Especially after two lagouts during the week, which also wasted pets. 450 GameGold wasted thus far. 300 of it I can accept - lagouts happen, they cant be helped. Unplanned Reboots can be helped. Really quite annoyed, as I cant afford to buy another set of foxes at the moment, thus making my day of leveling over, which is going to get me down about the server :s
If theres anything that can be done, on this occasion and for the future, it would be greatly appreciated, and we'd ALL like to know the situatuion and where you stand on this Jamie.

on a normal occasion i would say nothing would be done, but as this was an unplanned and quite a late reboot i'm sure something can be done, guess all you can do is wait fpr the official word on it

If it was a planned reboot, I wouldnt even say anything because I don't buy pets on a Friday, until after the reboot, but I didnt even see a global shout due to exp spam
Now I cant afford foxes for a few days, and I was planning on leaving my PC on to keep these for the next 4 or 5 days, so now I literally cant hunt/level anywhere near as fast as everyone else for the next week or whatever, which kind of puts on a downer on wanting to play at all until I can afford more :s

scheduled reboots would be great - but its not always possible.

i assume the reboot that happened this morning was probably the one that was Due for last night - which is funny as penny said the moment she gets foxes the reboot would be anounced and low and behold she gets foxes and its announced.

as mentioned if it could be scheduled that would be great, but at times we need a reboot before the scheduled period for one reason or another so its a little arkward for lapta to try and please everyone.

if we had a gm to be able to replace pets in occasions like this it wouldnt be to bad but lapta would need to be able to trust the person to be able to reliably give out the gg to replace the pets.

I sent Jamie a PM stating I wasnt having a go at him and that it as difficult to please everyone. I was just wondering if there was anyway like you said Lone, of getting the GG back for the pets lost. I believe Obelix has got his back, he told me to try Jamie on MSN, I have done but he seems to be afk/busy.

^^ im seeing if i can get a GM sorted - i need to check to see if the person actually wants the job though so as soon as i get a reply i'll let lapta know and see what he says - im pretty sure he trusts the person already so we'll see what he says - that way he can reboot the server when ever and as long as people can get screenies of their pets and can post the screenie on forum im sure we could get them replaced.
