does someone know how much AC and AMC give magicshield on lvl 3?
does someone know how much AC and AMC give magicshield on lvl 3?
it simply lasts longer as it goes up through the levels.

it doesnt protect against magic attacks as far as i know. and gives a hidden boost of about 5-5 ac i think... dont quote me on it though as TD may have altered it lol
Magic Shield : It creates a magic shield that protects the caster from any phisical damage
Lv.1 : you can practice from level 31
Lv.2 : you can practice from level 34
Lv.3 : you can practice from level 38
dont think there has ever actually been an AC boost given by it - unless its done without increasing the visible stats on the stat screen. - i could be wrong thou![]()

lol its a bit different me thinks :P i was always under the impression it had a calculation to reduce the damage recieved not to avoid it in the way ac does.
theres no possible way 5-5 ac could reduce the amount of damage received in comparison to what magic shield does![]()
anyway in answer to the original questions - as the spell levels up the length of which it lasts increases not the damage received (or the hidden ac boost, if its even there at all :P i think its sable telling porkie pies cos hes bored)

lol AC is not used to avoid DC, thats what agil is ment for....
in the calculation as far as im aware it would work abit like this...
sum1 = maxDC-MinDC
sum2 = random number of sum1
sum3 = sum2+minDC
sum4 = maxAC-MinAC
sum5 = random number of sum4
sum6 = sum5+minAC
sum7 = sum3-sum6
sum8 = sum7+power of spell
i cant say for sure that it is deffo how it works as i have never seen the scripting for it, but i have in the past programmed a few lil games, and it is usually all the same....

HP = HP - damage

AC works against DC
AMC works against SC/MC
as for your math - tbh it doesnt make alot of sense = Sum3? doesnt actually seem to have a purpose other than to confuse matters >.< lol let me try and follow it through
Sum 1 - Take a random number from between your low end and high end Stats.
10DC-50DC - we'll use 25DC
Sum 2(no Sum just value) = 25DC
Sum 3(pointless i believe - seems to be randomly added in) = (25DC + 10DC)
Sum 3 = 35DC
Sum 4 = Take a random number from between your low end and high end Stats.
(10AC -50AC) - lets use 25 again.
Sum 5(no Sum just value) = 25AC
Sum 6{pointless i believe - seems to be randomly added in} = (25DC + 10DC)
Sum 6 = 35DC
Sum 7 = (Sum3 - Sum 6)
Sum 7 = 0
I Dont see what exactly you would add anything in sums 3 and 6 from what i can tell they would simply be values rather then sums and would.
lol its totally possible your right - mir is so backwards i wouldnt be surprised if there were random extra calculations in the code all over the place to mess things up - but like you said neither of us have seen the code so neither can be sure :P
