Lapta, Confused about the new server opening

There was a post not so long ago by yourself in the low rate section basically saying you did not want to run that particular server any longer and was passing the files on. If this is the case, why have you opened a med rate server? Its cool and everything but i don't want to start med rate for you to just pass them files on aswell.

High rate is ridiculously unbalanced & overpowered, i logged on to my 50 tao for the first time in 8 months, have 818HP with a XL powerstone decent ac/amc and was buffed and was 1 hitted in town. Ridiculous tbh, which is why i cba with HR and want to start the med rate.

So basically Lapta the question is, are you definately interested in making the low/med rate servers work?

high rate is still live and will remain


Med rate is a clone of the high rate with slightly reduced exp which will be fairly easy to run alongside the current high rate.

the low rate had issues to start with which caused no end of extra work for the lapta in addition to the adjustments it needs for mobs/items/spell to be balanced with the exp people can achieve it became to much work for lapta to run them both and still carry on working on Mir 4 as well.

Penny, myself and Shirley have gotten server side access for the low rate server and are working it for lapta to keep it going and sort it out a bit - the first major item changes have been made and a reboot on friday at noon will see those come into affect.

im pretty sure all 3 servers will be around for quite some time to come, there now just more choice for you to decide on which to play.

good good its always good to see more people wanting to play

as the girlfriend said - we have an event on saturday(being run by the gm Ares) theres clue on the low rate forum section to give hints about what you might need so it might be a plan to see if you can work it out and get playing.


if you spot anything ingame that needs changing stick a post on the forum (low rate section) and we'll get it sorted asap.
