Virus??

Im not sure what or not but i've never had this message for MR before..
i just ran auto patcher and now im getting virus detecter up saying:

Threat Detected:
Filename Crogram files/mir revenge/mir2.exe

is this safe or what..? if so i'll just ignore

we have a user that is getting a Thermida Threat from their Mir2.exe within the last 5 minutes.

It isnt the same as yours Ama, this one from another user says something like Themida Threat Virus mirrevenge / mir2.exe or something.

I know but where I am came about by removing viruses.

i managed to remove thermida from my pc with a combo of

Spybot Search and Destroy
Adaware SE Personal edition
www.kaspersky.com online scan (this one i think you need to end up paying for but if you have enough knowledge and confidence it does show you where it finds the infections so you can manually remove them - as long as you know what you removing )

Kaspersky doesnt work for me. Cant connect to the server for some reason. Never could and the damn support refuses to help.

Just run a virus scan from your anti virus - I run Adaware SE Professional addition atleast 2 times a weak. Good for cleaning spyware. I think I run CCleaner about once a week maybe once every 2 weeks a good program for cleaning your registry and other things.

I TRY to defrag my PC every month.

i actually got the message BEFORE using autopatcher.. which was quite wierd..

the exe is like a year old. It hasnt been updated or changed since that time.

Some anti virus pic it up as a virus, others don't.

You have been using it for a year, so i would say it's not a virus.

When vicky had this proble, i just deleted the exe and ran the auto patcher and it worked fine.
