Just Starting Out

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this server, havn't downloaded anything yet because im after a little advise.

I used to play Mir over a year ago and am now wanting to come back but need a friendly reliable server with a good population.

What's the Mir3 server like here? Which server has the majority of the people on? Are they PK friendly and if so am i going to get slaughtered the entire way while trying to level up?

I've had a read through the fourms and i like what i've seen, the arcade is cool

I don't play mir3 - i don't think it's that stable atm it might be down.

So I couldn't advise you about that - but Highrate - MediumRate - Lowrate are all stable.

Highrate - Pkserver, so if you like pking bam! - 170 Players odd

Mediumrate - Not much pk at all few rivalrys between guilds - 20-35 Players

Lowrate - Very friendly community hardly any pk whatsoever - 20+ players

All are very active with updates and gms.

Arnage - GM on mediumrate.

- MirRevenge High rate has the most people online, usercount 150-200 - PK server

- MirRevenge Medium rate usercount 0-50 - Some Pkers

- MirRevenge Low rate usercount is 0-50 - Some Pkers, but rare

- Not sure about the MirRevenge3 usercount, but I hear its pretty low. - not sure

Thanks guys. I'm not all that bothered about pkers on the high rate server if its got a good population. Just mainly interested in - If it is a PK server, Do they ruin everything for everyone else?
IE: Group Hunts, Solo Leveling, Is EVERYONE a pker?

Also, are the towns guarded from red names?

Yes towns are guarded and most caves are - but most people do get pkd.

If your a good leveler and not bothered about hard levelling and want no pking - go to Lowrate

If you want easyish leveling (not to easy) and not many pkers - Go to medrate

The towns are guarded from red names, and alot of people do pk, but if you'll find noone will pk you if you hunt deep in caves.

So i can test both servers, is it easy to swap between medrate/highrate servers without having to download a tonne of stuff again?

I'd like to try out the community on the high rate server and suffer the pking. How many people online at peek time? over 150?, whats the lag like at those times?

Yeah once you download the game you get the client and autopatcher - run the patcher, when you load the client you can choose Highrate MediumRate or LowRate

Lag is minimul on all servers - if thats a word :P
