Laptop Help!!

I start up my laptop and it says "Disc Read error push CTRL ALT DELETE to restart"
i push ctrl alt delete and it just pops bk to the same message. Any ideas?

nope.
my pc just cut off yesterday and when restarted it had this message

Sounds like your pc is booting from the disc drive, go into boot menu and see what it's booting from first

I go into the boot menu and this list comes up

Boot Priority Order:

1:IDE 0:
2.IDE1: MAT****ADVD-RAM UJ-8505
3:USB FDD:
4:Network Boot: MBA v9.4.5 Slot 0500
5:USB HDD:
6:USB CDROM:


All that comes up, sorry im not very good with Laptops

Hmm to be quite honest with you, I don't understand that either, wish it was easy set up and said. CDROM, Harddrive etc. Not sure then, though my guess is it looks ok.

when your laptop is starting up keep pressing f12

it'll bring you into the multi boot menu, select your hdd and it should boot fine. failing this boot to your partition and do either a destructive reinstall or an os repair

Pushed f12 got a load of copyrigh stuff then this messag "no bootable device--insert boot disc and press any key"

and sorry not a clue wot "booting to partition is"

hmm had a problem like this before =/ took ages to figure out what it is and i honestly can't remember how i ended up fixing it :S what make is the laptop?
