Windows Vista Strugglers :P

Yet again ive tryed more things to make mir LOVE vista. and it's finally worked
for thos who were having problems with mir freezing all ive done is:

Set my windows theme to 95 style :P

Right Clicked mir.exe and click loads of the tick boxes and changed it to run with Windows 95

then also updated my Display in Devices if you need any help with any of the following please pm me in game. let me no how it goes

Ah right thanks mate I may have to try running it in compatibility with 95, i've tried running it as administrator and checking some of the boxes about graphics but it doesnt seem to help
The problem i've been having isnt so much when it freezes but when i minimize it then something very strange and annoying happens to the colour (whereby i lose it, it turns black and white) and something must happen to the graphics as well because it makes it almost impossible to use.
I dont know if thats a common vista problem or what but i'll deffinatly try the windows 95 thing and i'll repost here if it works for me

ok m8, also update your drivers and change theme from the vista theme to a 95 theme

Yeah changing the compatability to 95 did nothing for me lol

I've changed the overall theme of my laptop to "windows classic", i'm guessing thats the one your talking about? Anyway i'm not quite sure how to update the drivers myself, in fact i downloaded a program the other day to do it for me and i couldnt get it to work lol

i run windows vista ultimate 64 bit nps at all,all though i did turn my user account controll off what a pain that was blocked every thing,pc runs fine with out it running

ye i think i have vista but i have a different problem i think my laptóp cant take the pixels because of mir so sometimes when i minimize my mir it goes different colours, ive finally know how to change the pixels on my screen.
if you have the same problem give me a pm on either chars

I've set my Vista lappy to performance so all graphics taken off disaled so now it's the grey 95 look, had nothing wrong with mir any how. My Computer -> RightClick -> Properties ->Perfomance settings (or something) -> Choose for performance and it will disale all graphics

why dont u make a partition of ur harddisck ? the second 1 with xp n mirrev, so at the start u can run xp n play. im 99% sure partition magic work fine to have single parts with different operative sistems

Way to complictated for some less experienced users, also it takes a while to find a GOOD torrent of windows XP proffesional unless you want to go out and buy it
