Looking for a little SQL Help.

Well with FACUPs database viewer as a basis i have managed to get the player rankings created for the low rate. (once finished ill send it to lapta for the high and med rates)

but what i want to do (and dont have the knowledge of how to) is add the actual rank positions to the list.

current low rate

So we currently have Penny in first place and 2000 in second place i actually want to add another Coloumn that has the 1, 2, 3 and so on. (btw currently it states everyone as rank 1 just as a filler theres no code doing that )

If anyone has any ideas please let me know ^.^

lol the bit i found most annoying! is it classes the field names as case sensitive when defining them but when you use the SELECT * FROM bit it can be upper or lower case.

^.^ lol and the MR DB is some what unconsistant in its design.

example we show the ranking, by population of those countries with a population of over 180 million.
SELECT name,population,
RANK() OVER (ORDER BY population DESC) AS r
FROM bbc WHERE population>180000000
ORDER BY name

hmmm that looks promising (says the Noob without any SQL knowledge )

after discussions with Hollywood, i think i might need a new table to be designed to solve the problem.
