sounds to me like youve got a corrupt file in windows, and no the game is working fine.

before you reboot next time - check out your internet, it sounds as though you have an intermittent connection - which could be caused as sally said with a corrupted file on boot (but normally if it was corrupted it would say corrupted untill you repaired it {or until you pc recovered it if you have that sort of software installed} )

If you cant connect to the internet when you have the issue, check out your Network connections

(on XP - click Start, Hover over Connect To, Select show all connections - and see if you are actually enabled/disabled there)

(on Vista - Click Start, Network, then the Network and Sharing Center)

It could on the other hand simply be down the internet connection dropping from your Router and then the reboot restarts the connection. so it might need a fireware update on the router.

let me know if you find anything dodgy.

i think it'll be corrupted file sorta thing
cause i can use inet anytime i want tho

also if i lag out or log out it's often i can"t get passed servers again
    for example now

i tried checking the processes running before and after reboot but it's nearly impossible

    btw you might know
    i often get like 5+ svchost.exe running
and shutting them down doens't realy do anything they do start up soon after i ended them, these are also (most of 'em) in the top10 of memory users ...

the Svchost.exe did always concern me, But it turns out its kind of a Batch Process - meaning it has lots of "Smaller" processes running underneath 1 name, you will find if you stop all of them then the computer will actually reboot itself (at least i know this is true within XP, Vista might be a little different)

if you have your internet working all the time i would maybe try redownloading the client and make sure its not a corrupted file received apon download (im starting to doubt this theory simply because if a file corrupts it generally stays corrupted until it is Fixed or replaced - and as far as im aware Mir doesnt have any file recovery features.)

if it still happens after the redownload i assume it could be something to do with your computers memory - if it fails to load correctly, but then seems to work after a reboot (rebooting clears your ram which would be why initially after a reboot it would) it could be something to do with Dodgy ram.

there are quite a few possibilities which i cant really do justice to a fix without actually checking the pc out myself ^.^ If you could get a list of the process when its not working (open task manager, expand it so show all process, then hit the PrintScreen button - go to Paint then hit "Ctrl+V" to paste the picture, save the picture and then upload it to http://www.imageshack.us/ and then post me a copy of it (or pm me the link it gives) and ill have a lookie to see if i can spot anything dodgy on the list.

    thx,

the thing is i don't realy know how long this is going
I didn't have the problem when i first started (before wipe out) then after a long break i started again and the problem started to come up but only happened once in a while
now it's every time and lately i got to reboot computer twice or trice(^^) orso (last 2times)

not realy much of a problem but still a weird one

I do got a router but i would find it rather weird that it would give probs when i boot computer after he's been off for the night but when i reboot it then he gives no problem with mir
haven't had any problems with another program either
    might try to redownload etc

it ain't realy gonna bother me the next few weeks, parties and studies etc lol
