need your help.

***ed up my pc today...

here is wat i did.

installed some software so i could easly do dual boot.

Installed the software, rebooted my pc, the softeware kicked in just after bios. It did something to my harddrive, rebooted, now my PC wont boot up to windows, it just keeps crashing. I am guessing that it has something to do with wat the software did, and i think it did some sort of partition thing.

Any way, i tried everything. Wat i have done now it just taken out my hard drives and installed windows on to a single hard drive.

The question is, how can i get my data back? i am using RAID 10, with 4 harddrives, but it wont let me boot up windows on the single harddrive with my 4 other hard drives pluged in...

any help wpuld be great.

What was the software called that you installed? You shouldn't need any 3rd party software to do a dual boot, it is all configuarable in windows.

With booting up on the single hdd, make sure the jumper settings on the back is set to Master and it is set to your first boot up device in your Bios.

Recovering your data from a raid 10 after it's broken might be hard.

the raid it still intact, just cant boot from it#~:P

the first thing yo uwould want to do is get into the setup and turn of the "Automatic restart on BlueScreen" it should then allow you to see the bluescreen error message (oh yes the bluescreen from ME is still there is just got a little update in the later os )

once you get the message you should be able to determine the cause of the problem.

if you are only after the data you could play with the Jumpers on the drives and set the working one (the freshly installed windows one) to be the master drive and the broken one set as a slave you should then be able to load the working and then view the broken on and rip the data

not sure if its any help but i had a broken HD once what we did to get the lost data bk :

Start up comp without the broken hard disk then when windows is booted u connect the HD thts broken windows will recocnise it, instals it, and then u can retrieve data from it ....

worked out wat to do.

have to install windows on to the single harddrive, but have to do it in SATA ode not IDE mode, once that is installed, i should be able to hock up my other harddrives and recover my data.

my paln seems to of worked... windows is fixing broken records on e drive.
