Right im getting somewhere, if not far..

It IS my firewall stopping me use/d/l a new mir.exe it is saying it is a trojan,

my main problem is that this firewall absolutely baffles me gf mum, im not as an administrator on the firewall but is there any way i can turn off the firewall and or enable it to use mir.exe??

point made frank??? so back to topic, ne1 know where i can get an .exe that is not seen as a virus as my f/w will not have it and i do not have powers to turn it off or enable the .exe seen as a virus??

there is no exe that isn't seen as a virus unfortunately but to be honest the best thing you could do would be to get rid of mcafee all together, it's a hopeless excuse for a security program that causes more problems than it solves. there are free anti viruses and firewalls that will do as good a job and will allow you to make exceptions so you can download the exe again. good luck getting it sorted, just pm me if you need more help, means your thread won't be spamed by ****s for no reason

yeah at the moment avira is about the best antivrus proggy around thats free, it used to be avg but they had a big feck up about 2 months ago, i would reccomend avira tbh its free and deffo one of the best around

Pufulina - totally pointless posts only there to rile Frank and insult him - First ban - 24hours

timesplitter - Was initially asking for help but decided to take his chance and have a pop at Frank - First Ban 24Hours.

Chesecake - been warned before about his actions - there was no need for his post - Second Ban - 3 Days.

FrankLeeMad - Initially started the arguements, none of which were needed, should of shut up when multiple people told him to, decided to carry on arguing - Second Ban - 3 Days.


so if you want to make a post on this thread without getting banned keep it on topic and make sure its non abusive or deliberatly trying to incite people to cause more problems for them selves.
