Putting Server Online

just a question, does any1 actually know how to put it online, picture perfect? i've been tryinf last few days and it wont seem to work....give me ur msn if ur willing to help

change all ips to the ip address of the PC the server is on

what about internal and external ips, or is it just the external? bcuz i've followed guides and none have worked....i've also port forwarded port 7000-7300

i was thinking of doing same but im unfamiliar w/ SQL, if u just using server for fun for friends not online 24/7 do u need SQL? or can u just change the notepad ip to match urs, load up all the gate .exe's and do ti that way too?

i tried a bit ago cudnt get hold of SQL 2000 lol windows seem to have cut d/loads of it. Either way being behind a router causes **** wen trying to put a server online ;o
