Stupid computer problem(help plz)

My 3 year old has got on to the pc and some how got rid of the task bar and start menus so i cant run shortcuts etc cant see time etc lol

I searched on google and it said to do ctrl esc but that didnt work and it also said to run explorer from commans but that didnt work.

If someone can help ill give you everything i have in my pocket right now, which equates to a day old polo...

That just brings up my folders not the task bar, do i have to do anything else once thats open. I thought a system restore might help but cant do that as no start menu lol.

Does pressing the windows button work for bringing up the menu?

Might sound stupid but press the Windows key on your keyboard and see if your start menu pops up.

If it does, you might have just minimized your taskbar to the bottom of your screen. If you have move your mouse to the bottom of your screen until it turns into 2 arrows.

Then hold left click and drag it upwards.

Or check the Start Menu and Task Bar settings in control panel. Other thing is to try a reboot if you haven't tried that already!

Windows button doesnt work, its like the taskbar start menu is no longer there. I tried reboot didnt work either

He did this on his own log in ages ago and we left it coz we couldnt fix it but hes now done it on the main user and we cant really do anything without the taskbar or start menu >.<

hover the mouse over where the task bar would normally be might be set to auto hide

check the top and sides of your screen as well he could have moved it there and minimised it, did that once myself by accident, took me ages to figure it out -.-
