Re - Think on PKing

Past Few days playing mir I have been set upon by the odd pk'er which im fine with, 2 of whom where lvl 90+. I do stand my ground and attack back or rt if needed and I fully accept its aprt of the game. However a lvl 40 member of my guild has been pk'd 10x or more than people over the lvl of 80 and in most cases 100+

Yes it is a pk server in a sense but what is the need to pk mere level 40's and 50's if your lvl 100 is it due to having small weeners? Which is my best guess.

Really think it should be looked at as the member Im referring to is quitting the game after the constant PK, im sure alot of other new starters to the game will feel the same.

Level 100's should not be able to hit level 50's unless the level 50 attacks first.. needs a rethink

Not saying PK is a bad thing I love the odd PK myself but sometimes you have to wonder whats the point, its likes on Euro when lvl 40s went to Border village to get kills its just sad.

Someone new to the game having not played Euro, they need to find there feed first lvling is all well and good, but its better to learn how to play if your a total noob. I can pk a lvl 40 if I want its not hard, 1 Blizzard and they pretty much dead, but I dont as whats the point proves nothing

Very true you will always get it no matter how wrong or pointless it is. Hopefully Lapta can look into making it so that level100's cant pk level 50's unless provocted not like they can do any damage to a level 100 at 50 is it

it doesnt happen on low rate :P we're all too nice to be mean to each other muhahahaha!



on this note - when my girlfriend first started playing High rate i was explaining how to buy pots from the pot shop and Booom her screen goes red - she was in base dress at the time and didn't have a clue what waqs going on.

then she read "You have been murdered by Scorpio" (Before he was a GM ) and then she decided she didn't really like mir and didnt play again until i managed to find a safe server for her to play. So it is an issue and it has been about for quite some time.

(its one of the reasons we tried to make Low rate a low pk server which it pretty much is now so if hes intent on leave game the low rate might appeal to him {and anyone else looking for a break from the constant attacks })

Hard to find a reasonable explanation as to why someone with a 50 level advantage would need to PK a lower level. If I ever get jumped I usually ask them if they can PK people there own level and they never reply...

lol is there a difference between advertising and touting? :P (lol tbh i'd prefer we keep our members on one of the 3 {now 4 with euro} servers it makes for a better forum/community all round tbh having a nice balance of all the different featues, so i find its good to remind those that are starting to feel down about one aspect that there are others out there to focus on that they might enjoy a bit more and if not then they can always go back to the original choice )

buuuut i think you hit the nail on the head to start with (the little weaner comment ) i bet they all drive Red convertable sport cars too {sorry if theres any nice friendly people out there with red convertable sports cars that took offense to that :P im sure you have an ample weaners :P)

anyway lapta has plans by the looks of things (i have a couple of ideas which i'll suggest to him if his current plans aren't quite as effective as he wants - something like using the Qfunction onmurder command to check levels and then hand out suitable punishments based on the difference between the characters, something like if a level 100 kills a level 40 then due to the 60 level difference you would get the pk points increase by a factor of 6 or something like that so that way you will get your 100pk points if you kill someone within 10 levels of yourself, but if it starts to get beyond that it starts to give much more (if you killed someone over 20 levels below you, you would end up going instant red due to the 200points...) Or soemthing along those lines but hey this is the high rate so that might be a bit of an extreme punishment for a pvp type server :P
