    any1 aving a problem wiv the internet provider NTL ????
    cuz me n my m8s internet keeps going off

    When I was on NTL (2 years ago now I think), their service was great but now and then the internet just cut off for an hour or two, but always came back eventually lol.

    errrm as far as i no " NTL " dont exsist any more its virgin media , im with them atm. he might need a new modem , my old ntl one was rubbish , new one i aint avin a problem with but if hes on cable dsl nd hes still got the old modem make sure he aint got USB and Ethernet pluged in at same time , it goes all screwy

    i'm having some trouble with ntl, they disappeared about two years ago :P ntl is now run by virgin and if your friends modem says ntl on it that's the problem straight away, he needs to contact virgin to have a new one sent out
    when pigs fly....

    Virgin took over NTL too? They took over Blueyonder, after I'd been with them for 5 odd years, service/net hasn't been half as good/reliable since those twats bought Blueyonder out, I had a lot of problems with dc's/lag for a few months, they had an engineer out twice, then when I rang up for the FIFTH time, they finally realised I had an old modem that should of been replaced... ****ing quality engineers, clearly.

    Moral of the story, bitch and complain about any and all problems you get until they fix it, threaten to leave them for another company (think I ended up with a month's free sub, in two lots of 2 week packages, for continuous problems) and make sure you use the phrase "This is unacceptable", seems to work everywhere. ^^
