WarHead - temp ban

Yesterday as people know we had some errors on the server and I took it down for a quick reboot.


In the process a couple of noobs came to me requesting their Frost Tigers be returned as they had all worked hard for the tokens and they arent of a level to kill the larger bosses to get the larger token bundles so 25 is quite alot to them.

I agreed and had the tokens returned and everyone was happy.

Later in the evening when Ares came on to spawn the compo boxes for the rest of the server a character called WarHead decided that he was going to request his tigers back.

Ares informed the character that he would need to have my permission to have the tokens returned, He didn't seem to grasp this and carried on requesting the tokens be returned.

In this process Warhead had called Ares corrupt for not returning the tokens I dont like it when my GMs are called corrupt for doing their jobs.

anyway Ares then logged off but before logging off left a message for cronus explaining what had happened and to inform the character to speak to me before replacements were issued.

Cronus actually missed this message when he logged on but was messaged by Warhead who then decided to try his luck with Cronus who due to being informed to return the tokens to the other characters earlier in the day decided to give them back.

I dont mind that the tokens were returned - what i do mind is the character deliberatly ignoring direct instructions lying to Cronus and instead of PMing me on the forum, requested them in general chat using the excuse that he didnt have an activated account (you dont need an activated account to use PMs - which is exactly why i tell people to pm me!)

So i have decided to make an example of this character - I warned everyone last time the next person to take the piss with return of items would receive a ban.

So warhead will be losing his account for the next 3 days.

I would like to reitterate a point here.


If you would like an item returned to you due to a crash or an unplanned reboot, PM me on these forums and request it politely and you might get it returned - if you decide to try and play my GM off against each other you will be banned.

I hope i have made that clear.

I would appreciate it if you all listen to what I am telling you, I know most of you do but there has been a couple of occasions where a player hasn't. I'm not trying to cheat any of you out of anything, If I say no to giving you something that I later find out you were entitled to then I will get in touch with you apologize and sort it out for you. I give Lone feedback everytime I've been in game so if I'm wrong its found out fairly quickly.

If a GM (Myself or Cronus) says no to something, that we cannot help, going to the other GM to try and get an answer that works out better for you isn't smart, You will get found out and you will end up in a worse position then if you just left it at "No I'm sorry"
If I give you instructions to do something it will work out in your favor to do what I tell you and not do what you think you should do - Your get to the end result faster, trust me

In this case it was a little different as Lone took the server down himself, But I understand that there might be some confusion for a short while about compensation when the server goes down, we've just introduced the new procedure of the CompoBoxes to deal with it but I'm sure there are a few players in game that are not aware of this and will still be expecting compensation through the old procedure.

If I'm telling you something and it sounds different to what a player is telling you, especially when it comes to GM Roles and procedures in the way of running the server then your best bet is to listen to what I'm telling you and not what so n so character told you and argue they are right.

If you listen to what the staff say the first time we can all save ourselves time and hassle and generally get more done.

Those that speak to me often know that I'm approachable, I don't get nasty (unless you deserve it ) and will do my best to help, if I can't help at the time as I don't know the answer I'll do my best to find out and get back to you.

This is more of a general post to all of you rather than one aimed directly at Warhead.
