need help with download problems

I cant seem to get the download for mirrevenge running........I've ran the auto patcher nout has happened......really stuck :S :S plz could do with some of ya experty help

How do you mean nothing has happened? How are you trying to download it?

Best bet is to have a clean copy of euro. delete everything except the data wav and map folder. Then copy both auto patch files into the folder and let them do their job. Chances are you will have too run it once or twice as occasionaly it doesn't download a few files.

you may aswell delete all the files from euro because jamie has changed the modified dates or something so everything that is not downloaded from the autopatcher will be re downloaded lol (3+gig) thats why you will see threads about me trying to get jamie to make a new fresh fully up to date client download

i think the best way to make sure you ahve the right files would be to put the Auto patcher into an empty folder and then run it.

The auto patcher scans your folder for the files it wants to run the server, When i doesnt find the fiels in that folder it will make a note and then once its finished scanning it will begin downloading the files it finds in the download list.

because yo udont have any files in the folder with the auto patcher it will start to download EVERYTHING, (to speed this process up {but taking up more space on your pc} you can import files from other "older private servers you've played" such as the map folder, it will save a few of the maps needing to be downloaded, but you will end up with some duplicates in your map folder. due to lapta renaming a couple)

but the easiest way to do the auto patcher (in theory) is it stick it into a folder all by itself.

If you do it in an empty file its gonna do the 3gig dl thing lol.

I found a way round that was to have the data/map/wav files already there. Worked for me anyways
