server suggestion

Well i was bored saw med rate prob being closed, and with the hassle of bug testing on highrate. I thought, why not make a TEST server for highrate? A server where everyone can @level themself or what not, used just to TEST various bugs/updates before they become live on highrate. imo this way itll keep highrate uptime a LOT more and be able to find/solve bugs before u impliment them into highrate, keeping highrate enjoyable, less exploitable.

think this has been done before, but when all people are given gm powers, all hell breaks loose...eventually crashing the server by spawning 50 ems or w/e :P

aye thats all that happens everytime, whats happening with server now aint really a bug, just needs 2 figure out how many mobs he can spawn before server overloads, he will sort it soon enough.

probably would be easier for jamie. he implaments. others test. jamie fixes if need be and has it retested. if not its implamented.

unlike atm if something goes tits up, jamie has the additional task of fixing the damage caused on the live server due to the **** up

we have loads of test servers.

But the specs are not the same as hr server, which is why i had to test the spawn on this server.

i think somethings a miss here tbh. i dont think its a case of too many mobs, because whne gms do invasions its been known to do 8 at the same time and thats a hell of a lot of mobs compared to what the added caves would have in surely.

invasion is a few hundred mobs.

I am talking a few 100,000 mobs.

In any event ive done at most there was 9,000 extra mobs. In BW province alone I think theres like 2,000 mobs.
