    Default Simple Changes to make Boss Killing worth it.

    When killing my 10th boss of the day and once again seeing that glorious drop EggsinHat, i got to pondering what i would do to make boss hunting actually worth it, even if the drop is total rubbish. My two main ideas are as follows.


    Idea 1) Boss experience.
    This idea mainly came about because i am currently doing the hellish grind of 69-70. My main leveling area is BDD, with lots of bosses, most of which are skipped due to the total waste of time of killing them due to terrible drops. However, What if these bosses gave you 10000000 or even 5000000 experience points per kill? Not useless now! My idea is to make Bosses give a large amount of experience depending on its difficulty or the time it takes you to get to its KR. Not only will this allow those that hate killing the same mobs constantly the chance to gain exp through boss hunting but it makes the "noob" bosses worth killing, even if you just get Eggsinhat.

    Please give your feedback.

    Idea 2) GGScrolls GPScrolls.
    Everyone that has killed Dark Devil has seen that it drops GGscrolls/GPScrolls every kill, i think this should be expanded to more bosses(MTK/ZT/DIC/EvilEmp come to mind). Everyone hates killing a boss and getting pots, especially those that take sometime to get to/not easy to kill/spawns once every 2 spawns etc. However Dark Devil is the one boss in game that will reward you for killing it even if no rares actually drop.

    I think this would make boss hunting alot more worthwhile, sure the scrolls are only small amounts but it will add up over time, allowing people to spend it on whatever they like. It will also allow leveling to be abit faster due to getting tokens for 100gg. I dont think this would flood the server with GG at all, it would takes months to get enough to actually get items from the NPC.

    Please give feedback.


    These are my ideas, and id love for you to pick them apart or just comment on if you think this would be a good change to mir, or a bad change.

    5 n half hour in nest last night ol's=orbs bichon lord= omfg eye of evil..other 1 es orb L evil lord=orbs wt=bene dd=nufin zomg zomg last bone lord heaven necky, sum drops ok just need the rest..

    The first one I think is a very good solution, it'd obviously need tweaking dependant on the bosses location/difficulty (a level 70 getting 2% from a boss seems great, but that amount of exp to a level 150+ will be pitiful). I've always been a firm believer of some kind of reward for killing a boss, not a 1-in-a-million chance of getting a very nice item.

    The second one I'm not so sure about, it would mean a (potentially) massive income of free GG, which pushes donations down, then we'd need a new solution to help bring the money back in. GP would be fine though, as long as the amount dropping is closely monitored, so it's not becoming too easy to acquire.

    Both good idea's, always nice when a player comes up with a well-thought out idea, rather than expecting us to do all the work.

    Good idea and i think the drops need 2 be updated again.... been killing DD alot lately since the drop update and all i been getting is pots, eggs in hat and rubbish armour

    Im not sure it would really flood the server with GG, it would if all bosses dropped it. But im thinking of Just 4-5 more bosses to drop it like DD does.

    MTK-Takes a long time to run to KR
    ZT-Again, not the fastest boss to get to, lots of floors. spawns every 80mins?
    Demonic Ice Captain-can take awhile to get to, not killable by all
    Evil Mir-Takes a very very long time to get to, not easy to kill.
    EvilEmp-Not easy to kill. not sure of its spawn time.

    these are the main bosses i had in mind to drop scrolls, mainly because they drop pretty badly unless you really lucky. 1/1000000 chance to get something over 100m is pretty depressing :P

    More Comments please! would love it if lapta could give a word or two.

    EM and EE I would agree to, possibly more, but MTK and ZT I'm against, purely because (I've honestly not seen any drop files for MirRev, this is going from a handful of other servers) they drop well and are easy as hell to camp. If their drops are actually really poor on here (which I doubt), then yeah, maybe add a minor scroll, but the larger ones should be reserved for bosses that take a long time to get to and aren't as easy/viable to camp.

    Agree with all points, not sure why its only DD that drops the scrolls. I also like the experience idea too - it feel exp should always reflect the time take to kill the mob, and therefore boss exp should be much higher.

    I like the big experience idea erza as I have been told that 60-70 are the hardest levels in game.

    level 50 atm lol
