Faster Ping for Mir!

well lioness accidentally shouted this out loud in mir and i figured id check it out. he + uprising use this, figure share with rest of mir. Its a program that edits ur registry settings to allow packets to be sent quicker thereby making ur ping faster.

heres link. its not illegal nor is it a cheat, more like a "tweak"

Faster Ping optimizes network registry settings in order to turn off ACK delays and small packet delays. Windows intentionally delays small packets and waits until more data can be sent, which is a good idea for non-realtime applications. But in Multiplayer and MMO games the focus is on sending all packets (like move_left, cast_spell, ...) immediately to the server, even if they are only 1 byte in size.

To some computers it won't make a difference, others will see a minor change, some will see a vast improvement. This has been around for a good few years, it made a very beefy change to my old pc, but barely did anything to this one. I vaguely recall the person who told me about the program, saying it depended entirely on the pc, the age of the computer rarely mattered, some just had **** settings, I guess.

and yer i hear theres a few more out there that reduce lag/choppiness make framerate smoother etc. if anyone knows anymore feel free to share. But from what most people tell me, if ur fast already, this will lag u even more lol. 90% of people that were already fast ingame were slowed GREATLY by this.
